BIKE ID
Your bike.
Your control.
A clearer history begins with careful access.
A unique frame registration
Normalized frame serials are reserved in the registry. Duplicate registration is rejected. Ownership disputes are reviewed separately. Bike ID sets the registration date; you enter the purchase date separately.
Access follows permissions
Public QR checks show limited information. Full passports require account permissions or owner consent. Workshop Service records retain their source.
Account protection
Passwords are hashed with scrypt and individual salts. Mobile tokens use secure device storage. Web sessions use HttpOnly cookies, and the web portal is restricted to reading bike data and managing subscriptions. Security settings, session revocation and deletion are in the mobile app.
If your bike is stolen
Report the theft in the app and to the police. The internal flag appears in Bike ID checks and removes Verified from listings. Bike ID is not a government theft registry or proof of legal ownership.
